Accounting and Payroll
The need for well-trained, competent accounting and payroll professionals has never been greater. Accountants are crucial to the running of any business in order to gather, record, organize, and analyze their financial affairs.
The objective of this program is to give the student "hands on" training in the key areas of financial accounting and payroll, as well as in the implementation and operation of a computerized accounting system. The practical, rather than the theoretical, is stressed. The successful graduate will have the necessary skills to keep a set of books, both manually and on a computerized system.
Successful graduates of this program will meet the program requirements to receive the Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification from the Certified Payroll Management Program (CPMP), issued by the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). The certification is nationally recognized as the standard of excellence for payroll training.
Through our program at the Centre for Management Studies you will receive the training that will allow you to be a part of the heart of any organization or business.
